    Description

    Anigozanthos hybrid ‘Amber Velvet’

Amber Velvet is a striking Kangaroo Paw known for its vibrant amber flowers with red and yellow accents. This mid-sized plant is perfect for landscaping and can reach heights of 1 to 1.2 meters, making it a standout feature in any garden. The foliage is robust and clean, offering better resistance to ink spot diseases.

    Description:
    - Height and Width: 50 cm high x 40 cm wide
    - Flower Colour: Bold amber with red and yellow tones
    - Foliage: Robust and clean

    Planting Density:
    - Mass Planting: 3-5 plants per m²
    - Linear Planting: 2-3 plants per linear meter

Uses: Ideal for mass planting, pots, and low-maintenance gardens or landscapes. It performs well when planted behind or between evergreen strappy leaf plants for minimal maintenance.

Position: Prefers full sun in an open position. It thrives in well-drained soils or raised garden beds and should avoid areas with poor drainage. It tolerates both frost and drought conditions.

    Care Instructions:
    - Watering: Water as needed for the first 8-13 weeks until established.
    - Mulching: Plant in a well-mulched garden, preferably with chunky mulch.
    - Planting: Ensure the crown or base of the plant is not below soil level.
    - Fertilizing: Use a native slow-release fertilizer in spring if necessary.
    - Maintenance: Remove older flower stems and trim back foliage every 1-2 years unless planted in bands between strappy leaf plants.

Suitability: This plant is suitable for NSW, ACT, VIC, TAS, SA, WA, and QLD (though it is shorter-lived in northern QLD, approximately 2-3 years, while it lasts longer in the south).

Delivered as tube-stock plants approximately 20-30 cm in length.
