    We offer Standard and Express delivery within Australia. For non biosecurity states, standard delivery is $16.95 for orders up to 5kg and $31.39 for orders over 5kg. Express delivery is $24.95 for orders up to 5kg and $67.44 for orders between 5kg and 7kg. Express is not available for larger orders.

    For biosecurity states (WA, NT, TAS), standard delivery is a flat rate of $34.95. Express delivery is not available to these states. While we cover the cost of quarantine inspections for these states, they may still charge customers directly—this is outside our control and not our responsibility.

    Planting Details:

    • Planting Depth: Keep the neck of the bulb slightly above the soil
    • Spacing: 10cm between bulbs
    • Planting Season: July - October

    How to Plant:

    1. Location: Select a site with full sun to partial shade.
    2. Soil Preparation: Prepare the soil to a depth of 20cm, ensuring it is loose and well-aerated.
    3. Planting the Bulbs:
      • Position the bulbs with the roots downwards and the 'neck' slightly above ground level.
      • Space the bulbs 10cm apart for a dense display or further apart for a less crowded look.
    4. Container Planting:
      • Use a well-draining potting mix.
      • Place some gravel at the base of the pot to improve drainage.
      • Keep the bulbs fed and watered until they enter winter dormancy.

    Care Instructions:

    • Fertilising: Use a pelletised chicken manure annually, supplemented with liquid fertiliser.
    • Watering: Water regularly, especially during active growth, but reduce watering as dormancy approaches.
    • Naturalisation: These bulbs prefer to stay in the ground for multiple years and do not need annual lifting.
    • Storage: Refrigeration is unnecessary; Hippeastrum bulbs thrive best when left to naturalise.
